Las Vegas police say impairment suspected in motorcycle crash Tuesday night | News

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say they are suspected of impairment following a motorcycle accident Tuesday night.

A single motorcycle accident occurred in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North at around 10:12 p.m. on May 18, according to a press release.

Police say evidence at the scene suggested a 2018 Yamaha S Max was traveling south on Las Vegas Boulevard in the inner lane. The driver could not keep his lane and hit the middle of a curb.

According to the police, the force of the impact caused the Yamaha to overturn and the 51-year-old driver was thrown out. The person was transported to UMC trauma with life-threatening injuries.

The police state in the notice that impairment was suspected and a DUI investigation was carried out.

The crash is still being investigated by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
