Sparkling Festival starts on Friday
The annual ThinkFoodGroup Sparkling Festival takes place Friday through December 12th at China Poblano and Jaleo at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The featured cocktail at China Poblano is Winter’s Blush, $ 17 (Hendricks Gin, Lychee, Rose, Lemon, and Poema Cava). There will also be a sparkling flight, $ 22; a trio of bubbly take-away bottles, $ 150; and a couple of bites of six trout roe siu mai, $ 18. Jaleo will have a sparkling flight, $ 32; special bubbles in the glass or bottle; and a trio of bubbly take-away bottles, $ 250.
Dinner with wine and truffle in a pretzel
Wines from Pio Cesare Vineyards in Alba, Italy and Alba white truffles will come together for dinner on December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Brezza at Resorts World. The wines will be presented by Federica Boffa, the fifth generation owner of the 140-year-old winery, and Brezza Executive / Chef Partner Nicole Brisson is planning a menu with dishes such as a veal chop grated with porcini mushrooms with crispy millefoglie, roasted cippolini and sautéed baby cabbage and spinach. Vacation rate on Water Street
During Henderson’s WinterFest in December, businesses in the Water Street District will be serving Christmas specials every Thursday from 5pm to 7pm starting December 2nd. On the sticks there are pumpkin-sugar biscuits with eggnog buttercream frosting and the Bourbon Apple Blitzen (cider, bourbon, lemon juice, sweet vermouth and orange bitters). Mackenzie River offers hot pan sugar cookies with cinnamon ice cream and six specialty cocktails. The pass will have holiday sliders (three roast turkey sliders with turkey sauce aioli, Grand Marnier and black pepper and cranberry sauce, and a corn bread filling on a brioche bun) and the Gold Mine will have gingerbread rum cocktails to have.
Beer festival for toys
The Winter Wonderland Beerfest, a benefit for Toys for Tots, will take place on December 3rd from 7pm to 10pm in the Tuscany Ballroom des Tuscany. The festival will include one-off brews and collaborations, raffles, and more. Participants are asked to bring unpackaged toys. Wine Spectator brings Grand Tour
Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour Las Vegas 2021, featuring more than 200 wineries, takes place at The Mirage on December 4th from 7pm to 10pm. All wines were rated 90 points or higher by Wine Spectator.
