RENO – The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating multiple fatal accidents on US Highway 50 in rural Storey County that resulted in the death of three people.

Tuesday’s patrol identified victims of a fiery two vehicle crash in Dayton last Wednesday around 5 p.m.

Devon Woolard, 24, of Las Vegas and Catherine Collier, 43, of Dayton, were both pronounced dead at the crime scene on US Highway 50 near Occidental Drive.

Preliminary investigation shows that Woolard was driving west on US 50 in a silver 2007 Ford Focus when she couldn’t keep her lane, crossed the center turn lane and entered the east lane.

The Ford crashed into the front of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Collier and went completely up in flames.

Silver Springs crash

The patrol also identified the victim of a car accident in Silver Springs as 21-year-old Anthony King of Fallon on Tuesday. He was pronounced dead on the scene after his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado crashed into a rock face at around 5:13 a.m. on Monday in the middle of a roundabout on Hwy 50 and 50-A.

A preliminary investigation shows that he did not slow down as he entered the roundabout. The truck jumped over the rock face, overturned, and landed on the roof.

Both crashes are still being investigated.
