NORD-LAS VEGAS, New York., November 12, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument in North of Las Vegas will soon be more easily accessible for visitors with new lanes and more, starting with a festive ceremony in the new car park at Saturday November 13th at 8 o’clock in the morning, hosted by Lennar, city officials and the National Park Service. This historic landmark is an important piece of the North Las Vegas Landscape and provides a popular spot for hiking and outdoor recreation in the area.

“Lennar doesn’t just build houses, we build communities,” says Joy Broddle, Division President of Lennar Las Vegas. “We know the existing communities we are building in rely on local parks to recover and preserve the natural landscape and history that go with them, and we are pleased to say that this project is complete and ready to be enjoyed. “

Lennar has worked closely with City in the north of Las Vegas City council, Scott Black, the National Park Service Superintendent of the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, Derek Carter, as well as municipal employees, in order to improve the motor accessibility of these North of Las Vegas Bracket.

The 5.25 mile trail is frequently visited by locals and tourists who want to enjoy the weather and learn more about the area. With over 21,000 square feet of paving added, visitors can now enjoy vehicle lanes, a new parking lot, and ADA parking at the entrance to the trail.

The Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument was established in 2014 on an area of nearly 23,000 acres. Visitors learn about paleontological resources found throughout the park, which date back to 200,000 years ago. Animals like the Colombian mammoth and other now extinct species once roamed the country.

With a new park established less than a decade ago, there haven’t been many facilities until now. Visitors have parked on nearby access roads and entered the monument on foot. The establishment of lanes and a parking lot will make visiting the park easier and more efficient.

The new parking lot is on the corner of Moonlight Falls Ave. and N Aliante Pkwy. It will be officially opened and made available to the public with the ceremony on Saturday November 13th at 8 o’clock in the morning

This project could not have been completed on time without the help of Lennar’s trusted trading partners, Patriot Contractors, Stonescape Pavers of Nevada and Affordable Stripping and Sealing, Broddle said.
