Poolgoers at MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas Strip Hotels can order food and drinks on a smartphone and have it delivered directly to their lounge chair or lounger. The company has launched the city’s first poolside mobile ordering system, currently available in select hotels with full access to all Las Vegas hotels through June 1st.

“The past year has accelerated our investments in technology and brought contactless interactions to every part of our resorts,” said Dominique Bertolone, SVP for Food and Beverage Strategy at MGM Resorts. “Our goal is to deliver innovative, guest-centric experiences that deliver the premium hospitality we are known for.”

Each seat is assigned a chair label and a chair number as well as a unique QR code which, after scanning, opens a mobile ordering platform on which guests can place their orders. Guests can also personalize every aspect of an order.

At the checkout, guests enter their seat number, name and payment information into the program so that the order can be processed. A confirmation screen will display the order number and name of the guest once payment has been accepted, as well as the option to send a receipt to the mobile device via text or email. When the order is ready, an MGM agent delivers the items to the guests’ seat.

The poolside ordering platform, operated by the hotel company Agilysys, is now available at the following MGM Resorts Las Vegas pools:

  • Bellagio
  • aria
  • Vdara Hotel & Spa
  • MGM Grand
  • Mandalay Bay
  • Delano
  • The mirage
  • Park MGM
  • NoMad Las Vegas
  • Luxor
  • New York, New York
  • Excalibur

The platform will be available on June 1st at The Signature in the MGM Grand.
