Would you spend $ 500 on a discounted moon experience?
The world’s richest individuals are spending $ 200,000-250,000 per ticket to secure seats on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic flights. And SpaceX’s most recent civilian flight was a nine-figure undertaking.
But a design company plans to launch an alien space trip to fill the void for non-billionaires and offer a mini-moon experience for just $ 500 – up to 500 times less than the price of an actual trip into space.
“People want something unique, something different, something ‘wow,’” Michael Henderson, co-founder of Moon World Resorts, Inc., told The Post. “Space flights cost $ 200,000 to $ 250,000 – so the masses just can’t take part. With the moon [World Resorts], for $ 500 you can walk on an authentic lunar surface and explore a spectacular lunar colony. “

The 1 / 75,000-size replica of the moon will land in places like Las Vegas, the Middle East, China, and Spain in 2026 or 2027 – if everything goes as planned.
Developers, investors and state governments are currently competing for the licenses, which will be issued over the next few months, said Henderson, whose firm drafted the plans.

The top floor inside the moon is the 292,011 square meter “lunar surface”, which is accessible via the “shuttle station” with a bat on the ground below. It costs $ 500 per ticket to spend 90 minutes on the surface.
About 4,000 hotel suites, likely operated by a “5-star hotel operator you know well”, span 2.816 million square feet under the lunar surface. The rooms offer curated views of space creations. Room rates will be “competitive” with other five-star hotels, Henderson said.
Under the hotel is a three-story platform with a 75,000 square foot spa, 130,000 square foot casino, 50,000 square feet restaurants and bars, 75,000 square feet shopping mall, 2,500 square feet theater, planetarium, 150,000 square feet clubs and lounges, an event center with 5,000 seats and an arena with 10,000 seats, according to the brochure.

According to the brochure, there will be a 500,000 square meter convention center.
There will be 75,000 square meters of shopping.
There’s also a 5,000-square-foot Discovery Center, 5,000-square-foot Children’s and Youth Zone, 9,000-square-foot business centers, 150,000-square-foot ballrooms and meeting rooms, and a 500,000-square-foot convention center, according to the prospectus.
The outdoor patio balconies are also packed with amenities, including a 185,000-square-foot beach club, 20,000-square-foot amphitheater, 24,450-square-foot verdant landscape, 50,000-square-foot sports, 193,000-square-feet of lagoons and other aquatic components. There is also enough parking space for 6,000 vehicles. The lower level is surrounded by a living green wall according to plans.
The budget is $ 5 billion and is expected to bring in $ 1.8 billion per year with annual earnings (EBITDA) of approximately $ 500 million. According to the press release, around 6,500 people will be employed after commissioning.
