Will the giant moon land in Las Vegas? Apparently one is in the pipeline.
A breathtaking representation of a Las Vegas resort in the shape of a giant moon has been published. That name? Of course the “moon”.
According to the Canadian entrepreneur behind it, the construction will cost £ 3.6 billion ($ 5 billion) and be 224 meters (735 feet) tall, making it the second tallest building in Sin City, in partnership with JW Marriott. Will. It is currently the second tallest building after the Stratocaster, which is 350 feet tall.
A stunning rendering of a Las Vegas resort in the shape of a giant moon has been released
The largest spherical sky hideaway in the world includes 4,000 hotel rooms, a “crater café”, a spa, a casino and a lagoon. I can do it. Colonization of the Moon ”.
There are more.
Other attractions at the resort in another world include an event center for up to 5,000 participants, a theater for resident artists and tour acts, a piano bar, boutiques, several lounges and a convention center.
The resort also has a nightclub that sits under a giant model spaceship and shines on the dance floor.
The glass-bottomed “Enviromax” corridor is drawn in pencils to provide a simulated view of the earth’s weather patterns so guests can see “hurricane eyes through their eyes.”

Designed to recreate the surface of the moon, the “Active Moon Colony” is a unique selling point for ambitious resorts.
To reach the colony in the upper half of the sphere, guests go to the shuttle station and wait for the moon shuttle. Designed as a roller coaster, the shuttle is described as the meandering exterior of a hotel suite when it carries guests upstairs.
Once there, the guests explore 4 hectares for 90 minutes and crawl through the craters in a “moon buggy”. Colonies promise to closely mimic them [lunar colonies] It is currently being seriously and aggressively planned by NASA, ESA, and many others. Tickets cost £ 361 ($ 500) per pop.
“I definitely believe that guests who step on the moon will be on the moon for the first time in their lives,” explains Michael Henderson, who founded Moon World Resort (MWR) with business partner Sundramas.
According to the Canadian entrepreneur behind the Moon, it will cost £ 3.6 billion (US $ 5 billion) and be 224 meters (735 feet) tall, making it the tallest shared building in Sin City. ..What is shown here is the “Spa of Tranquility”
Piano-bar concept of the “Moon” project that I dreamed of in 2000
The “Moon Colony” experience was unique to the overall design. The MWR brand statement states: “The fast growing space industry is literally exploding. But the entrance fee is exorbitant!
“The moon provides an important ‘bridge’ that allows large audiences to join the excitement in a positive and affordable way. “
Henderson and Matthews first decided in 2000 to design a destination resort.
How did you get the idea? “In short, it’s a really classic ‘aha moment’ and was really supported by the full moon and the odd Guinness sprinkle or two,” says Henderson.
He adds: “The goal was to develop a large-scale replica of the moon on planet Earth with the largest sphere in the world.”
The sphere is 198 meters (650 feet) in diameter and sits on a large disk 259 meters (850 feet) in diameter. However, these measurements may vary due to regional airspace and altitude restrictions imposed by the region.
The resort is made of a composite of concrete, steel, glass, aluminum and carbon fiber and is expected to last five years.
“Guestsat Moon enjoys a spectacular direct touch and gives an accurate preview of what the next inhabitable celestial life of humans will look like,” says Henderson.
Moon is not yet in production, but Henderson and Matthews are looking to work with large global companies that already have all the funds necessary to fully develop the resort.
Moon World Resorts licenses its designs in four locations: North America, Europe, the Middle East Gulf, and Asia.
The “Active Moon Colony” is a unique feature of the moon. To get to the colony in the upper half of the sphere, guests go to the shuttle station and wait for the moon shuttle (pictured).
The plan gives guests 90 minutes of access to the ins and outs of the lunar colony. “When guests step on the moon, they will undoubtedly feel like they are on the moon for the first time in their lives,” said Michael Henderson, co-founder of Moon World Resort.
This project was first awarded to Coachella in 2016
“We are in active discussions with potential regional licensees around the world,” said Henderson.
What is the best location for the moon in Las Vegas? “Right now, the best land options are owned by the prestigious Wynn Resorts Corporation,” explains Henderson.
Another representation of the stunning resort shows the moon in Dubai, where the skyscrapers of the Burj Khalifa are located. The founders estimate that each resort could generate £ 1.3 billion ($ 1.8 billion) annually when it opened.
Looking to the future, Henderson said, “About 20 years after the first pencil graffiti was developed, Moon is finally ready to start building.”
If that’s true, that’s a big leap for Las Vegas tourism.
However, some tourism sectors are skeptical about the “moon”.
The project was first assigned to Coachella, California, in 2016, Desert Sun reports.
At the time, Hilton Palm Springs General Manager Ahutabdada told the newspaper that Moonworld Resort was “impossible” and added, “If there is a word that replaces the impossible, we’ll use it.”
David Garcia, then manager of the city of Coachella, meanwhile, told Vice.com that “it’s hard to comment on a project that only exists as poorly rendered graphic design.” Bob Rogers, founder of BRC Imagination Arts, which designs attractions for businesses and museums, told the website that Moon’s scale is very ambitious.
And when it comes to repeating the moon in Las Vegas, Henderson still cuts his job to turn around.
Michael Trager, author, podcaster, and Las Vegas expert who runs the travel website TravelZork, said MailOnline Travel believes there is no market for Moon.
He said, “When someone mentions the moon, I immediately think of one of the legends of Las Vegas, Bob Stupak. With the exception of Stupak’s Moon Vision, he exhibited his moonstones in the Moon Rock Cafe. Are people longing for a moon-themed casino resort in Las Vegas? My simple answer is no. They want integrated sports and entertainment venues like Circa’s Stadium Swim and spectacular headliners like the cast from Resorts World Las Vegas.
