Guests can expect to immerse themselves in a weekend of their own choice of wine, food, study, and fun at the legendary Tropicana Las Vegas. Join the festivities that celebrate the world of winemaking, tasting and pairing with three days of premium wine selections, classes, a Friday welcome party, a Saturday lunch and dinner party, and a fitting Sunday to round off a fabulous Vegas weekend – Hangover brunch.
The fun begins on Friday evening, September 24th, with a welcome party with wine and hors d’oeuvres from 5pm to 8pm. Saturday offers a day full of six unique and special classes.
Prosecco to start the day with La Marca Prosecco presented by E&J Gallo Winery. La Marca Prosecco – made from the expressive Glera grape – is found in the vineyards of the Italian prosecco capital Treviso and produces a clean, refreshing taste with a delicate, floral palate and a light acidity.
How to taste wine, presented by Triinchero, explores the importance of identifying aromas when evaluating wines and how tongues only recognize five flavors. Guests will expand their library of fragrances and taste descriptions.
Wine and cheese pairing presented by Rodney Strong, whose roots go back over 100 years, and Triinchero, a family heritage of great wines since 1948. Rodney Strong will give you an in-depth tutorial on flavor pairing with cheese based on knowledge acquired in the class prior to this one.
After the three morning classes, guests are greeted for a lunch that includes tasting flagship wines with paired appetizers and allowing guests to mingle and mingle. Classes continue after lunch.
Types and flavors of red wines presents Pinot Noir from around the world, presented by Chateau Ste Michelle, Washington State’s oldest and most prestigious winery with award-winning wines. Get to know the history of these wines and taste the difference a terroir makes!
Would you like to learn how to make wine? Take the winemaking class with Jackson Family Wine. Guests will use their personal Kendall-Jackson VR Chardonnay Blending Kit to create their personal flavor profile.
Types and flavors of white wines presented by Rodney Strong. Taste through white grape varieties that include their signature UpShot white blend.
Summarize your insights and celebrate your new wine knowledge with a festive happy hour on Saturday as you sample all of the day’s flavors with stalls, meat and cheese pairs, a silent auction, and live music. Saturday evening ends with dinner with a choice of red or white wine while a sommelier teaches about wine pairs.
After such an eventful Saturday, the Hangover Brunch on Sunday, September 26th, is a sweet end to the weekend with rosé wine, mimosa and breakfast!
