The residence, titled “Love in Las Vegas,” will be a limited engagement with only 24 shows scheduled over the four months, but Legend told Billboard that his fans won’t be neglected.
“The setlist is going to be a cool career retrospective,” he said. “A little more about older songs for my 2004 fans – they’ll hear everything they’ve loved over the years. We play songs from all of the albums. My entire catalog, my entire career, summarized in one performance. “
Ironically, Legend said he hit upon the idea of making his own residence while attending one of the last shows put on by her friend and fellow judge on “The Voice,” Gwen Stefani, when she was at her Las Vegas residence Castle.
Legend will just be the newest great talent to appear in Sin City. The new Resorts World Hotel, which opened earlier this year, put on the post-pandemic bar when it hosted a Michael Buble residency in April and May, and then a series of Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Celine residences Dion announced.
Underwood’s six-show run ends on Saturday, December 11th. Perry takes on eight shows, including New Years and New Years. Here are the dates for December 29th and 31st, 2021 and December 1st-8th, 12th and 14th-15th. January 2022.
Bryan will perform for six shows February 11-12, February 16, February 18-19 and February 20, 2022.
And Dion had to postpone her run to January 19 through February in November. 5, 2022.
Like Dion, another global superstar is coming to Las Vegas when Adele starts a weekend-only 24 weekend show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Other residencies for the last three weeks of this year and for 2022 are Usher, Carlos Santana, Sting, Shania Twain and Kiss.
