Undefeated super light weight Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin (11-0, 7 KOs) made his way to St. Petersburg, FL to fight various fighters.

Tomlin had some tough rounds with Daniel Bailey (6-0, 4 KOs) who gave Ty the job he was looking for. The sparring was started by his co-manager Peter Fernandez.

“It was a good experience going to Florida to get some good sparring,” said Tomlin, who is sponsored by Lou DiBella.

“Daniel Bailey and his trainer welcomed me with open arms and the sparring sessions we had were amazing. Sometimes you have to travel outside of your hometown to get different looks with fighters outfitted with unique styles. I learned a lot about myself during this trip and I am a better fighter now. “

“Even though Ty was a little under the weather, he got better and ended the sparring sessions on a good note,” said Darryl Tomlin, Ty’s father, coach and assistant manager.

“Peter Fernandez is a good man and the sparring we had with Bailey has been very helpful. These are the things you have to do to get to the next level. “

“Tyler has shown that he can compete with the best,” said Peter Fernandez. “I wanted to see him fight a high profile fighter from my area here in St. Pete.

“Ty has the charisma and work ethic to make a name for himself in boxing. He has the talent to become world champion one day and I look forward to working with him. “

Ty Tomlin will travel to Las Vegas for the next thirty days to fight some elite fighters in the boxing mecca.

“We plan to go to Vegas next month and spare some of the top guys out there,” continued Ty Tomlin. “If I want to make it to the top, I have to make such sacrifices to advance my career. I’m looking forward to getting this job in Las Vegas. “
